"Hi I am new to Chalet and I just wanted to thank the laundry staff. Awesome job!! When I gave them my laundry let me tell you, it was returned clean, and ironed. I mean looked like it came from the cleaners. I mean really great job. Made my day!"

"My step mother is here dying of cancer, roaches are in her bed. Just called up there spoke to an African woman who calls herself Kelly, it was like pulling teeth to get a name, she took a message for Wale who she says is the manager/supervisor. We'll see what happens. Update: I received a call from Pat, very pleasant, very emphatic. She took the time to listen and understand the situation and promised it would be rectified. She gave me her cell phone number should my father or I have any questions or concerns. She also said they could play music in my step mother's room or do any other special things per our request to make her more comfortable during this transition. I felt much better after hearing from Pat; I am confident that things will get better at this facility."

"Since coming from Bryn Mawr care staff here is kind. I like Sonya, she is so nice she goes out of her way to make sure that I am comfortable and have what I need. She even went back to pick up my belongings from my old place."

"I am currently planning on discharging back to the community. I would like to give recognition to all the nurses and CNA's who have always been available to me when I needed help take care of me when I was sick. And I thank them for the time while I was here."

Cassandra Taylor

"I have two good friends here Gloria and Vanessa. I visit every day. We play cards on the 4th floor in the study room. Listen to music. I spend hours there. The staff is really nice there. I have met new friends since visiting. Also, I have to stop by the desk on my way out to speak with Charles and James the security guard and the receptionist"

"I wouldn't even give this dump 1 star, but it's required to leave a review...I don't see how people who have stayed here could lie and give this place 5 stars! I am living here, and everything that they've posted aren't true! The staff are terrible, the nurses ( most of them) are terrible, and the CNAs ( most of them) are terrible. The hospitality staff ( cooks, dietary aid assistants, and dieticians) are deployable. They snap at you if you call down to ask what's the meal and if you can substitute it for something else or they hang up on you. The food is served ice cold and almost all the time burnt or not cooked, and the portions given to you are soooo small (some people get plates with big portions, but there are others who get small portions... one woman is allergic to fish, and she told the nurse that they gave her fish and to ask them for something else. The foidbis supposed to come up at a certain time and the food won't arrive until 1-1/2 to 2 hours late and cold (when the CNAs decide to get around to serving the food its ice cold... and they rush you to eat your foid gey gave to you just 10 or 15 mins ago. They won't let you sit out on the patios to get fresh air and sunshine, but if you're a smoker, they will let you sit out on the patios. There are roaches, big moths flying around, spiders, red ants, and gnats flying around. The roaches are literally crawling on the food trays, food carts, walls, shower room, up and down the hallway, in the ice machine and the drawers. Tell the receptionist and nothing is done or by chance you see maintenance and tell them, they come in and spray saying that the spray is odorless ( it's not...it stinks the rooms up even more. this facility has a revenue of $4 to $13 million dollars, and they can't get new furniture to replace the ripped, urine smelling furniture! They can dish out the money to buy meals for the staff and gift baskets, and have parties, but they can't seem to dish out money to get decent food served in here or to fix the place up, or supply toiletry items that aren't watered down and smell awful! The nurses will give you other people's medication if you run out of the same kind of medication until they get around to ordering yours. They take anybody in here, even if they don't have enough room, so they can get your benefits. They leave you with $30 out of your benefits to try and stretch out until next month (yes, some government law passed giving these facilities the option to give you just $30 once a month for whatever you need) because the rest goes for staying here in a delapidating facility, with disgusting ripped, smelly furniture (beds, chairs, sofas, etc). They can buy huge flat screen televisions for the security office and the activity room, but they have refurbished oxygen machines that haven't been sent to be inspected/serviced and elevators that break down and haven't been serviced (inspected) since 2019. They slap stickers with dates on them onto outlets, bed frames, windows, oxygen machines, and everything else (I asked the guy who was doing this why, he said, "I'm with maintenance and I'm doing it to let them know I inspected things". But he didn't test anything....He just slapped a dated sticker on everything (the same with the fire extinguishers. They just replaced the tag with a new one or wrote their initials on the tag (how is that inspecting or replacing things ? For all they know, things are falling apart or need to be refilled. The Six Photos Posted By Owner Are False Advertising This Place...The Care Given Here Is Not Like Those Posted By Former Residents."

"The new social services director Tiara is really sweet. She is always smiling and having conversations with each resident, which is great to see since everyone does not have family. Last week I saw her buying cookies for all of the residents during a bake sale. She is always replying to my emails quickly, even when I email after hours. I feel great knowing my mom is safe and cared for with her and the memory care nurses"
