"I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience dealing with my physical therapy. The insurance company denied payment for several evaluations, claiming they were not medically necessary. However, the physical therapist insisted that an evaluation was required by the insurance company after every four sessions -- which led to 4 evaluations out of 9 sessions. When I refused the last one, the physical therapist told me the insurance company wouldn't pay for any therapy unless I agreed. I have a plan that includes 20 free physical therapy visits per year, and my coworker -- who has the exact same plan -- didn't have this issue with a different provider. To make things worse, not every therapy session was performed by the physical therapist; often, it was done by their assistant. The "evaluations" were just quick paper checklists. Each one cost me over $100, and I paid for the first three. When I questioned the last charge and refused to pay, the provider immediately sent the bill to a collections agency, even though I was still trying to clarify the issue with the insurance company. This has been a frustrating and unfair experience. It feels like a lack of communication and oversight between the insurance and the provider is costing patients unnecessary money and stress."

Alex Brinlee, Clinic Director is amazing and very well informed about the surgery you have had or if you need to have physical therapy prior to having surgery. Alex understands your concerns and explains everything that you are going through. All of the staff at this location are wonderful. They understand what you need and are very helpful with checking that you are performing movements properly. When you are more advanced in your care, you still are being checked on and advised if you need to correct a movement. I highly recommend this Physical Therapy Office for wonderful care."
