Testimonials

Helen Schmedtje

"I had a great experience at Pivot Cleveland Park, most notably with PT Carly Cashman. She is incredibly knowledgeable, was always encouraging, and very patient with me. Dee, a part of the front desk team, is a breath of fresh air and is extremely helpful in all ways. Very thankful for this team- I highly recommend them!"

"The physical therapists were good, but I'm extremely disappointed in this company's DECEPTIVE business practices. I received a bill that was much higher than expected, with additional charges buried in confusing language. They encouraged me to download their Athletico app and even texted me daily reminders to use it for my exercises, but never disclosed that this would come with an extra fee. I was shocked to see nearly $300 added to my bill for the use of an app that they told me to download and use. I got daily messages instructing me to use the app and to communicate with someone who asked how my exercises were going...I never asked for this nor did I sign anything stating that I agreed to pay for an invisible stranger to message me on an app, "reminding" me to do at-home PT stretches...I already had blocked out time on my calendar to do this and I was doing fine on my own. This is extremely deceptive and has completely undermined my trust in the company. The worst part is that the receptionists pretend not to know what they are doing and act like the Athletico app scam is from a different company and they have no idea it exists. One of the receptionists even told me on my second visit that "we don't do the bill, that's them". I thought it was a strange comment and had no idea what she was talking about, but the PT came at that moment and I figured that she was trying to explain that there's a billing department... There's a lot of surprise billing going on here. Before you pay an arm and a leg for basic exercise movements, go on YouTube where it's free! Oct. 29, 2025: In response to their response; no one had contacted me. I sent an email WEEKS before leaving my review and no one responded to that either."

"I first want to commend the lovely ladies at the front desk, Dee and Dorothea, always pleasant, friendly, helpful and accommodating. They made scheduling and administrative matters easy. I worked with Jonny Korman for several months pre and post knee surgery. His careful assessments and close observations plus his creative application of rehabilitation techniques guided me to an excellent, pain-free recovery. He made exercise (almost) fun!"

Gina Steinway

"I worked with Hope and Bria for two months at the Pivot PT Cleveland Park location and I would highly recommend these two therapists. I needed PT because of knee problems that prevented me from walking short and long distances. The therapists were very knowledgeable, professional and creative. Their customized exercises were updated as needed - and I appreciated that there were no cookie cutter approaches to address my injury. Hope and Bria's friendly, caring attitude made my visits enjoyable as they encouraged me to work hard. I attributed my recovery to these two experienced therapists at Pivot, and the home exercises they prescribed."

"I am very happy with my experience at Pivot PT at Cleveland Park. I went to Pivot PT with plantar fasciitis and a strained hamstring. Dan, the site manager, is super knowledgeable and came up with a 3-month recovery program for me. I felt relief almost immediately after starting my program. For most of my PT sessions, I worked with Ryan who was very friendly, attentive, and professional. Thanks to Pivot PT, I am now pain free and have returned to exercising. The front desk staff are also really friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Pivot PT!"

Cecilia Gaultney

"I can highly recommend this Pivot Therapy location. My PT Dan was excellent, highly attentive, and very knowledgeable as we worked through many sessions to understand and treat the physical difficulties I was facing. I've been to other PT offices throughout my life and this one made me feel most comfortable and well taken-care of by far. I think that compared to other offices, I felt like the continuity and quality of care was very high here because I always got to see Dan and had at least part of my session as a one on one, which can be a rare occurrence at other offices (in my experience). For most of my time there, the other PT Tim and front desk staff Julie and Tina were also part of the great experience. When you spend a lot of time at other doctors offices, the full experience matters a lot and I always felt welcomed by all."

"I've been working with Hope at Pivot for my lower back pain, and I've been very satisfied. Hope is kind, personable, and professional. She makes each session challenging and gives great feedback on how you're doing every exercise. It's clear she cares a lot about her clients. My back pain hasn't gone away completely (I believe pain is complex and goes well beyond PT), but she's given me the tools to manage my discomfort on a daily basis, strengthen my body, and prevent the regular flare-ups that I used to have. I feel much more independent and don't feel like pain hangs over my daily life. Many thanks to her and everyone at Pivot - they do a great job!"

"I came to Pivot in late July after dealing with knee pain for a couple of months. My experience there was excellent throughout, both in terms of the exercises and the customer service I experienced. After two months of work I am pain-free and have been able to resume my former lifestyle. Julia was an excellent therapist and extremely helpful, and everyone else I interacted with during my time at Pivot was wonderful as well."
