He truly listened to my concerns and took the time to understand my medical needs -- including connecting me with a pain management specialist since most narcotics do not work for me. My torn rotator cuff surgery and recovery exceeded every expectation. I did not experience the severe pain I anticipated, and thanks to Dr. Allen's skill and care, I am already far ahead of where most patients typically are in physical therapy at this stage. "I met with Dr. Ode for a follow up with many questions and anxiety I had about reverse shoulder replacement. My questions were respectfully answered. She is straightforward and efficient which is very helpful on the one hand and in my case can make me feel I am asking too many questions. So more questions came up when I left and I trust they will be answered. I believe that I am in good hands, literally and figuratively. I think that it is always helpful when a doctor asks, do you have any more questions. I do however, understand that there are time limits related to appointments. When I asked her in my first appt if I had questions after I left, could I contact her. She replied positively and the helpful follow up appt was scheduled where we had the opportunity to sit face to face. Any surgery is anxiety provoking on many different levels. Both Dr. Ode, Caroline, her nurse practitioner , and Hector, her admin are helping to create the environment for healing to take place."
