I-DO-REVIEWS

"I am genuinely disturbed by the lack of accountability I've observed at The Orthopedic Center at Mount Sinai West. A staff member -- publicly identifying himself in both name and imagery as affiliated with the Center -- has posted shockingly hateful, racist, and historically inflammatory comments across social media platforms. These statements are not only deeply offensive, but they reflect a mindset that's incompatible with the values we expect from any healthcare professional. The individual in question, J. Nikocevic, clearly associates himself with this facility through visible signage, identification badges, and his profile bio. Such an overt link between this person and the Center forces one to ask: what level of screening, monitoring, or behavioral expectations does Mount Sinai West enforce for its employees? Even more troubling is the silence -- it suggests either a lack of awareness or a lack of concern. Either outcome is damaging. When someone like Jake N. chooses to publicly represent a renowned medical institution while promoting such repugnant views, it casts a shadow on the Center's judgment and professionalism. These actions not only harm their reputation but risk making patients question the safety and inclusivity of their care environment. I truly hope leadership revisits its policies on social media conduct, background screening, and employee accountability. Mount Sinai West has a responsibility -- to its patients, staff, and the broader community -- to ensure that those representing them uphold the ethics and humanity that healthcare demands. Until steps are taken to address this, I cannot recommend this facility in good conscience."

"My appointment was at 310pm. At 350pm they put me in a room in the back because ( it felt to me) I went to reception several times to ask about when I'd bee seen. The room had a printer(only), and no medical equipment. I waited over one hour to be seen. Do not schedule an appt. here unless you have lots of time to waste."

"WARNING : if you do not need surgery come to see Dr. Unis is a waste of your time. What doesn't make sense is why Mt. Sinai list that Dr. Unis is Ortho surgeon & sport medicine doctor. Dr. Unis is a nice doctor (only reason for 2stars) but if you don't need surgery he will not be able to help you. What's odd is my former Ortho ordered MRI's without me needing surgery yet Dr. Unis wouldn't order it for me. Total waste of time & I wish I didn't travel all the way from Brooklyn to be told he couldn't help me. The least he could have did was order a new hip MRI that would have also shown muscles around the hip aka to rule out if my hamstring issue has gotten worse."
