"I was a patient of Dr Lavine's 25 years ago. I was in my 50s, happily married, and critically I'll. Dr. Peter Lavine and Dr. Arthur Kobrine teamed up to save me from becoming a quadrplegic by losing the use of my arms and legs. Recently, I needed an appointment with an Ortho surgeon and discovered Peter Lavine has retired. My lasting memory of Dr Lavine is of his kindness and compassion. In the 1990s I was in GW Hosp ten days after his life saving operation. Dr Lavine visited daily on his med rounds. I kept asking to have my hair washed but nurses were reluctant to risk my recovery by making a wrong move with my compromised upper spine. Dr Lavine was in the hosp daily at dawn to operate during the day, then he did his rounds and finally went home at 8 or 9 PM. On this day he came back to my room at 10PM before going home to sleep. His beautiful commitment as a competent and caring doctor persuaded him to extend his already exhausting day to come to my room to carefully wash my hair himself. I have never, before or since, had anyone give me such kindness. I will never forget him as a doctor and as a superior person. "my doctor - Divine Lavine! I had a bone spur in my shoulder. He operated on it and it has been fine. I also had my REQUIRED therapy (important). It's been over five years no problem. Any good doctor is not going to just operate on you. They will try to help first by medication or therapy. I would question anyone who wanted to just jump in and operate. I like Dr. Lavine very much. My orthopedic surgeon for life!! His experience speaks for itself. Staff is very professional and friendly."

"WORST DOCTOR IN DC!!!! DO NOT GO SEE DR.LAVINE. His office has no professionalism and is always late and does not care at all! Talk about a guy living in the past. His office is covered with old old old letter of recommendation and if you UNLUCKY enough to see him (always hour + late) he will give you some outdated advice. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. THIS GUY IS A JOKE"

"This Dr. Peter Levine is not very professional he's always late to every appointment he doesn't examine you. I had two appointments with him where he was late to both appointments the last appointment was an hour wait before he even got there didn't even come into the room apologize for being late. That was my last appointment I would not Recommend no one to this office"
